Who We Are
Originally founded as the Graduate Piano Trio at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, the members of the Hendiatris trio are active artists and teachers in Triad region. Originally from the far corners of the continent, we are now currently based out of Greensboro, NC.
The Hendiatris Piano Trio was formed in 2012 and is currently the graduate piano trio at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Kristen Ironside, piano, earned her bachelors and masters degrees at Arizona State University, and primarily focuses on chamber music. She has been staff pianist at multiple music festivals in Europe, and was recently on faculty as a collaborative pianist at the MasterWorks festival in Indiana. K. Brandon Ironside, violin, is a graduate of both McGill University and Arizona State University, and enjoys both coaching and performing chamber music; he is currently a member of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra. Ryan Graebert, cello, is an Oberlin Conservatory and Cleveland Institute of Music graduate, and frequently performs solo, lecture, and chamber music recitals. He is currently a member of the Winston-Salem Symphony and frequently collaborates with his wife, bassoonist Marian Graebert. All three musicians are currently UNCG doctoral students, and as a trio, they compete and perform outreach concerts both at UNCG and throughout North Carolina.
